According to Peter Schiff, federal interest rates will remain low. At nearly $20 trillion dollars, the system can't hold up much longer. Certain players at the fed continue to advocate higher interest rates, even though it probably won't happen. What will happen is the continued borrowing and spending of money, regardless of which political candidate takes office this year.
How long can this go on? Who knows... Mr. Schiff explains the fed very well and how we inoculate ourselves with things like QE and low interest rates. He also gives an interesting opinion on both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, for those that are still undecided on who will benefit the economy most.
